Chinese President Xi Jinping concluded his official visit to Caracas, where he signed agreements with Venezuela, including a $4 billion renewal of the China-Venezuela Joint Fund and $691 million for gold and copper exploration. Venezuela, with the world's largest oil reserves, has become a major recipient of Chinese funds in South America, totaling $56 billion. The country manages its debt partly through oil exports, supplying 524,000 barrels daily to China. Xi's visit to Venezuela is part of a Latin American tour, which included Brazil and Argentina, and will continue to Cuba.
