The video explores the discovery of America by Christopher Columbus in the 15th century. Columbus, supported by Queen Isabel of Spain, set out to prove the Earth was round by sailing west to reach the Indies. He departed with three ships and discovered new lands, including Guanahani Island, later named San Salvador. Columbus made three more voyages, discovering more territories and initiating cultural exchanges between Europe and America. Although he believed he found a new route to Asia, he had actually discovered a new continent. The continent was later named America in honor of Amerigo Vespucci, who recognized it as a new land.
