Despite negotiations, the U.S. forced the Apache to relocate, leading Lozen to choose war over poor conditions. She helped women and children escape, showing remarkable survival skills. Lozen joined Geronimo in the Apache Wars' final campaigns. Captured and imprisoned, she died in 1889. Her legacy as a warrior and protector endures.
