From 1947 to 1969, the U.S. Air Force conducted extensive investigations into UFO sightings, primarily through Project Blue Book, to assess potential threats to national security. While most sightings were explained, a small percentage remained unidentified. One notable case, Incident 398, involved a 1949 sighting of triangular UFOs in Baltimore. Despite thorough investigations, including eyewitness interviews and sketches, the Air Force could not conclusively identify the objects. Later theories suggested a possible link to the Northrop Flying Wing tests, but the case remains unsolved.
