Thirty-five coffins adorned with lilies were placed in a stadium in Ascoli Pisceno, which was transformed into a chapel. The ceremony was broadcast on large screens outside the stadium, while some families opted for private funerals. Italy declared a National Day of Mourning, with a second ceremony planned for victims from Acumoli and Amatriz.
