The Yangtze River is Asia's longest river and the third longest globally, measuring about 6300 kilometers. It flows eastward from the Tibetan Plateau to the East China Sea. The river has over 700 tributaries and hosts the Three Gorges Dam, the largest hydroelectric power station in the world.
