La Flor Beach, a tourist destination, offers a tropical climate ideal for nesting. Adult turtles, measuring over half a meter and weighing 38 kg, lay about 90 eggs at dawn. Incubation lasts 40-70 days, with only three out of 100 hatchlings reaching adulthood.
