Brazilian footballers who fled the war in Ukraine have returned home. Players like Pedrinho, Dodó, and Maikon from Shakhtar Donetsk arrived in Sao Paulo after a long journey. They recall the destruction and sounds of war, emphasizing their priority was the safety of children. When Russia invaded Ukraine, 13 Brazilians were in Shakhtar Donetsk. They sought refuge with Dynamo Kyiv players and requested help from the Brazilian government. Before the war, there were about 500 Brazilians in Ukraine; now, only around 100 remain. With the Ukrainian League suspended, the athletes focus on their teammates still in conflict zones.
