VOICED : Exjefe de Pemex vinculado a Odebrecht llega a México extraditado desde España

Emilio Lozoya, former director of Pemex, was extradited to Mexico from Spain to face charges of managing $4 million in bribes from Odebrecht, allegedly used for the PRI campaign that elected Enrique Peña Nieto in 2012. Lozoya, who was involved in international affairs for the campaign and led Pemex from 2012 to 2016, is the only Mexican official detained in the Odebrecht bribery network across Latin America. He is also under scrutiny for Pemex's purchase of an overpriced fertilizer plant. The trial may implicate other high-ranking officials, including Peña Nieto. Lozoya is reportedly willing to cooperate with authorities.
