VOICED : EEUU exige que gobierno de unidad palestino reconozca a Israel

The US envoy to the Middle East stated that a potential Palestinian unity government must recognize Israel, disarm Hamas, and renounce violence. Hamas, controlling Gaza, refuses to recognize Israel and insists on protecting its citizens. Fatah and Hamas agreed that the internationally recognized Palestinian Authority will manage Gaza by December 1. The US is a major funder of the Palestinian Authority. Palestinian leaders are willing to negotiate a unity government and will meet again on November 21. Israel warned it will not negotiate if Hamas is included unless certain conditions are met, such as returning the bodies of Israeli soldiers killed in Gaza.
