The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared COVID-19 a pandemic due to its alarming spread and the lack of action. Dr. Anthony Fauci, a leading infectious disease expert, warns that the US should prepare for a challenging fall and winter, as lifting restrictions often leads to a resurgence in cases. Although daily COVID-19 cases in the US have decreased from 60,000 in June to 40,000, another wave is anticipated with the flu season. Over 6.4 million Americans have tested positive, and more than 190,000 have died. Globally, there are over 28 million cases and 911,000 fatalities.
