VOICED : Militares ultiman en Paraguay a líder de grupo insurgente EPP

The Paraguayan government announced the death of the insurgent leader of the Ejército del Pueblo Paraguayo (EPP) and two other members. President Mario Abdo Benítez and the police confirmed the operation, which followed a year of intelligence work. The president urged remaining insurgents to surrender and called for peace. The EPP, influenced by liberation theology, is a splinter group from the Partido Patria Libre, founded in 1990. It is responsible for numerous deaths and kidnappings over the years.
