VOICED : Policia italiana intercepta un Picasso

Italian police intercepted a Picasso painting valued at $16 million, which was in the possession of a retiree who claimed it was a gift from a client in 1978. The painting, depicting a violin and a beer bottle, dates back to 1912 during Picasso's cubist period. Interest in the painting arose when Sotheby's requested permission to export it. The painting's fate will be determined after a judicial investigation into its ownership. Alongside the Picasso, a well-preserved Roman marble sculpture from the 2nd or 3rd century was also discovered, having been unearthed during unauthorized excavations.
