VOICED : Mariposas monarca volvieron a Mexico

The migration of monarch butterflies from Canada and the USA to Mexico tripled in the 2015-2016 season due to actions by the three North American governments. The butterflies occupied four hectares of forest, a significant increase from the previous year. While this is a positive trend, threats such as pesticide use, extreme weather, and deforestation remain. Scientific monitoring shows a recovery trend, but vigilance is necessary to protect the monarch population.
