Thousands have been recruited near the Sudan-South Sudan border, where tensions over Abyei's independence persist. Soldiers indiscriminately took males, including children, to training camps, returning only those under 15. Families remain disconnected from their sons, fearing further recruitment as the conflict shows no signs of ending.
