VOICED : Autorizan en China pruebas clinicas de dos nuevas vacunas contra el coronavirus

Chinese authorities have approved human trials for two experimental COVID-19 vaccines, developed by Sinovac-Botec and the Wuhan Institute. This brings the total to three vaccines in clinical trials in China. The first vaccine was approved on March 16, developed by the Academy of Military Sciences and CanSino. Phase 1 trials began on April 9, with recruitment for Phase 2 ongoing. Other Chinese projects using attenuated flu viruses or nucleic acids are in animal testing. Globally, pharmaceutical and research groups are racing to develop COVID-19 treatments and vaccines, with an effective vaccine expected to take 12 to 18 months.
