VOICED : La “baguette”, candidata de Francia al patrimonio de la UNESCO

The French Ministry of Culture is proposing the baguette as a UNESCO intangible cultural heritage. The baguette, a symbol of French culture, emerged in the early 20th century. However, the number of artisan bakeries in France is declining due to industrial production. The ministry believes that recognizing the baguette as cultural heritage will raise awareness of its cultural significance. UNESCO will announce its decision by the end of 2022.
