Michelle Bachelet returns to the presidency of Chile after winning the election with 62% of the votes against Evelyn Matei. Bachelet plans significant reforms in taxation, education, and the constitution. Her supporters celebrated her victory and hope for the realization of her social justice promises. Bachelet previously governed from 2006 to 2010 and will serve until 2018.
