VOICED: An anniversary marks the end of the Iron Curtain

Imray, a collector, has preserved parts of the original fence and plans to open a museum on August 19th, commemorating the Pan European Picnic. This event allowed Hungarians, Austrians, and East Germans to cross borders freely for a brief period, leading to significant migration. Today, tourists visit this historic site, which played a role in the eventual fall of the Berlin Wall. The Iron Curtain, once a formidable barrier, is now a memory, with its last remnants disappearing when Hungary joined the Schengen zone in 2007.
