VOICED : 700 migrantes rescatados en Indonesia

On Friday, hundreds of migrants adrift were rescued off the coast of Indonesia. Their intended destination was Malaysia, which denied them entry. Thousands from Myanmar and Bangladesh remain at sea as regional governments refuse responsibility. Humanitarian groups criticize the 'human ping-pong' game played by Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand. Another boat with 50 people was also rescued by fishermen. A vessel carrying 300 Rohingyas left Thailand after engine repairs. With these arrivals, 1,300 migrants have reached Indonesia, fleeing poverty or persecution, resembling the Mediterranean migrant crisis.
