Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia, is one of the coldest cities globally, with temperatures dropping to minus 34 degrees. Despite the harsh climate, Mongolians, who have been nomads for thousands of years, adapt well to the winter. They live comfortably in traditional yurtas and believe that cold weather contributes to longevity. However, the use of coal for heating has made Ulaanbaatar one of the most polluted cities, posing environmental challenges for Mongolia, known as the land of eternal blue sky.
