Norman is an 18-year-old high school senior dealing with the loss of his mother and his father's cancer diagnosis. Struggling to cope, he fabricates a story about having cancer, which shifts his status from an outcast to the center of attention. This lie becomes his coping mechanism, but he eventually must confront the truth. Along the way, he falls in love, adding complexity to his journey.
