SpaceX files to blast Starship into orbit with ‘Super Heavy’

SpaceX has filed an application with the FCC for the first orbital test flight of its Starship within a year. This test is crucial for future lunar missions. The Starship Super Heavy booster, a massive 70-meter rocket, will launch from South Texas. The booster will separate 170 seconds into the flight and land in the Gulf of Mexico. Meanwhile, the Starship will orbit Earth, re-entering over Hawaii for a soft ocean landing. This test marks the first time SpaceX will stack both elements of the Starship system together.
