Shinzo Abe VERTICAL - One Minute History

Shinzo Abe, influenced by his family's political legacy, became active in Japan's Liberal Democratic Party. His career began as a secretary to his father, Shintaro Abe, and he was later elected to the House of Representatives. Known for his stance on North Korea, Abe rose to become the Prime Minister and LDP leader in 2006. Despite resigning after a year, he returned to serve from 2012 to 2020, becoming Japan's longest-serving Prime Minister. Abe's life, dedicated to public service, was tragically cut short by a gunman during a campaign speech.
