In Thailand, a rescue mission is underway to save 60 tigers confiscated from a temple in 2016, where they were used as tourist attractions. Many tigers have died, and some survivors are sick. Veterinarians have categorized the sick tigers into three groups based on symptom severity. The most severe cases will undergo surgery, while those with mild symptoms are being treated at Majidol University. The temple previously attracted tourists for photos with tigers, but after allegations of abuse, the animals were confiscated. Only 61 of the 147 tigers have survived since their relocation to shelters.
