Musa and his family, after facing hardships in Syria and Lebanon, found asylum in Iceland in 2016. They were pleasantly surprised by the kindness of the Icelandic people and the mental relaxation they experienced. Despite the harsh winters, the community in Akureyri has been supportive, helping them integrate. Language remains a significant challenge, but they are adapting. More Syrian refugees are expected to arrive in Iceland, seeking a warm welcome despite the cold climate.
