Crispus Attucks

Crispus Addicts, born into slavery, escaped and worked at sea, fearing conscription into the British Navy. Tensions with British troops were high, leading to his involvement in the Boston Massacre, where he became the first casualty. This event marked a significant point in the American Revolution. Despite being seen as rebels by some, Addicts and others were viewed as martyrs for liberty. His legacy is commemorated by a monument in Boston.
