The Kenyan forces have regained control of the Westgate mall in Nairobi, which was attacked by an Islamist group linked to the Somali Shebab insurgents. The attack resulted in a significant number of casualties, with at least 62 dead and nearly 200 injured. Hostages are still missing, and several suspects have been detained. This incident is the deadliest in Nairobi since the 1998 Al Qaeda attack on the US Embassy.
