Dinosaurs, such as Allosaurus and Camarasaurus, dominated the era, known as the age of reptiles. New lifeforms like flowering plants, early birds, and mammals emerged. The era ended 65.5 million years ago with a mass extinction, including the demise of dinosaurs.
