Exploring the Mesozoic Era

The Mesozoic Era, starting 251 million years ago, was marked by significant geological and biological changes. Pangaea began to break apart, forming the Sierra Nevada and Rocky Mountains. Dinosaurs, such as Allosaurus and Camarasaurus, dominated the era, known as the age of reptiles. New lifeforms like flowering plants, early birds, and mammals emerged. The era ended 65.5 million years ago with a mass extinction, including the demise of dinosaurs.
