When Teddy Roosevelt got shot and stil gave a Speech

In 1912, Theodore Roosevelt, running for president on the Bull Moose ticket, survived an assassination attempt by John Schrank. Despite being shot, Roosevelt delivered an 84-minute speech, attributing his survival to the thick manuscript in his pocket. The bullet remained in his body, and Schrank was deemed insane. Roosevelt's party lost the election, but his resilience became legendary.
