VOICED: El Papa ya esta en Cuba

Pope Benedict XVI arrived in Cuba, continuing the legacy of Pope John Paul II's 1998 visit, which improved Church-state relations. He was welcomed by President Raúl Castro. The visit coincided with reports of dissident detentions, allegedly to prevent protests. The Pope held a mass in Santiago de Cuba and planned to visit the Virgin of Charity of Cobre sanctuary before heading to Havana.
