VOICED : Militares toman policia en Acapulco ante posibles filtraciones

Mexican military forces detained three police commanders in Acapulco and took control of the local Public Security Secretariat due to suspected organized crime infiltration. The operation involved naval soldiers and federal and state police, resulting in the arrest of two police commanders linked to murders and the detention of the police director for carrying unauthorized weapons. The municipal Public Security Secretary and other officers are under investigation. The Acapulco police will be indefinitely managed by Guerrero's Security Secretariat. Guerrero, a hub for drug trafficking organizations, is one of Mexico's most violent states, with the highest number of homicides in 2017.
