VOICED : Mexico pide justicia por asesinato de periodistas

In Mexico City, journalists and activists demanded justice for the murder of reporter Javier Valdez and other journalists whose killings remain unsolved. Mexico is highlighted as the most dangerous country in Latin America for journalists. Valdez, a 50-year-old journalist, was killed in Culiacán, and investigations are ongoing. The National Human Rights Commission reports that 95% of crimes against journalists go unpunished. Since 2000, over 100 journalists have been killed in Mexico, with 11 in 2016 alone, marking a record. This year, five journalists and a poet with a radio program have been murdered.
