VOICED : Puigdemont volverá a Bruselas pero promete regresar a Italia por audiencia de extradición

Carles Pugdemont, the former Catalan president, announced his return to Belgium after being briefly detained in Sardinia. He was arrested upon arrival in Alghero, where he planned to attend a cultural event. Pugdemont is wanted in Spain for sedition and misuse of funds related to the 2017 independence bid. Released on Friday, he must appear in Italian court on October 4 for an extradition hearing. Despite the arrest warrant from Madrid, Pugdemont remains free to travel and vows to continue his political activities. His lawyer, Agostinangelo Marras, suggests the extradition decision may take weeks.
