A car bomb attack in Mansura, Egypt, resulted in at least 14 deaths and numerous injuries, primarily affecting police officers. The Egyptian Prime Minister, Hassem Beblawi, labeled the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization, although he did not directly accuse them of the attack. The Brotherhood, associated with ousted President Mohammed Morsi, condemned the bombing. Since Morsi's removal, the group has faced significant military repression. The Brotherhood has called for a boycott of the upcoming constitutional referendum, a precursor to legislative and presidential elections in 2014.
