Fats Domino, a legendary musician, was honored by fans at his New Orleans home after his passing at 89. Known for his hit 'Fatman', he was a pioneer in rock and roll and the first African American to succeed in pop music in the U.S. He was a rival to Elvis Presley and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1986. Despite his fame, he remained in his New Orleans neighborhood. He briefly disappeared during Hurricane Katrina but later released his final album to support affected artists.
