Sonars may be causing some whales to become suicidal

Whales have adapted to withstand pressure changes by slowing their metabolism and conserving oxygen. However, sonar waves from naval patrols cause them to swim away in fear, leading to nitrogen bubbles in their veins, brain hemorrhages, and organ damage. This disrupts their natural diving patterns, causing them to dive deeper and longer, often resulting in beaching.
