This has led to a period of instability in a country already grappling with economic recession and a refugee crisis. Croatia is in a precarious situation, facing both a refugee and a financial crisis, which could worsen without a majority government. The right-wing coalition, led by the Croatian Democratic Union, secured 59 seats in the 151-member Parliament. Croatia is currently experiencing economic difficulties, with unemployment at 16.2% and youth unemployment at 43.1%. Public debt is nearly 90% of GDP, making Croatia's economy one of the poorest in the EU.
