1st Trial In Capitol Riot Ends In Conviction On All Counts

A Texas man, Guy Reffitt, was convicted for obstructing the certification of the 2020 presidential election and other charges related to the January 6th Capitol attack. His son testified against him, marking the end of the first criminal trial from that day. Over 750 people have been charged, with more than 220 pleading guilty, mostly to misdemeanors, and over 110 sentenced. About 90 others await trial.
