Jesús Alfredo Guzmán Salazar, known as El Gordo, was captured by the Mexican Navy. He claims to be the son of Joaquín El Chapo Guzmán, a powerful drug lord and leader of the Sinaloa cartel. El Gordo is considered a key figure in the cartel, not only due to his family ties but also for managing his father's assets. He was arrested in Zapopán, Jalisco, with Kevin Daniel Beltrán, another cartel member. The U.S. has requested his extradition for drug-related crimes. At the time of his arrest, he had $156,000, several firearms, and grenades.
