New undersea cable to go through the Arctic Sea

Sinia and Megafon are collaborating to build a fiber optic cable across the Arctic Ocean, known as the Arctic Fiber Project. The project will be executed in three phases, starting with a cable line between Nome and Prudhoe Bay in Alaska. The second phase will extend the cable to Asia, reaching China and Japan. The final phase will branch the cable through the Northwest Passage into Canada and the UK. This infrastructure aims to reduce latency for users in Europe, Asia, and North America. The project is part of a broader network of undersea cables that connect various continents, enhancing global connectivity.
