VOICED: Fallece Santiago Carrillo

Santiago Carrillo, a key figure in Spain's transition to democracy and former leader of the Communist Party, passed away at 97. His political career spanned from the Spanish Civil War to the post-Franco era. Carrillo resigned from the party in 1982 and was expelled in 1985. He retired from politics in 1991 but remained active, writing and participating in public events until his death.
