Marie Antoinette's Children part 1: The Forgotten Children of the French Queen

Marie Antoinette, known for her execution during the French Revolution, was also a mother to eight children, four biological and four adopted. Her marriage to Louis XVI was initially unconsummated, leading to reputational damage. In 1776, she adopted Francois Michel, a young boy she encountered during a carriage ride. Despite initial joy, her interest waned after having her own child. Francois Michel, unhappy at court, later joined the revolutionaries and died in battle.
