VOICED : Iraqi animal lovers go online to help save Baghdad's strays

A 22-year-old student in Iraq started a project to rescue stray animals from abuse and find them homes. The project, which began in June, operates mainly through a Facebook page where people can post about animals in need. Despite some negative feedback, the initiative has been successful, with 25 animals adopted so far. Other similar projects are also using social media to aid animal welfare. A notable success story is Majnoon, a dog who was injured but found a loving home and will receive a prosthetic leg.
