Suspect in Tokyo knife attack says his aim was to be sentenced to death

On Halloween, a man attacked passengers on a Tokyo subway, injuring 17 people. Most injuries occurred as people fled. The attacker, who also set fire to train seats, was arrested at the scene. Although no fatalities occurred, three people were hospitalized with serious injuries. The suspect aimed to kill at least two people to receive a death sentence.
