Air France canceled some flights due to a strike by pilots, cabin, and ground staff demanding a 6% salary increase. The company offered a 1% raise, which unions found insufficient given the cost of living and frozen wages since 2011. Despite a 42% profit increase in 2017, 28% of staff joined the strike, with higher participation among pilots and cabin crew. Air France plans to operate 75% of scheduled flights, including 50% of long-haul, 75% of medium-haul, and 85% of short-haul flights.
