VOICED : La presidenta del parlamento catalan ante la justicia

Carmen Forcadell, the President of the Catalan Parliament, appeared before the Supreme Court in Madrid to defend her role in the Catalan independence process. She argued that as the Parliament's President, she couldn't prevent votes and that the Constitutional Court shouldn't pre-censor parliamentary debates. Five other deputies were also questioned by Judge Pablo Llarena, who might impose preventive detention, similar to other leaders involved in the October 1st referendum. The prosecution accuses them of rebellion, sedition, and embezzlement for orchestrating a strategy to declare independence despite the Constitutional Court's ban on secession initiatives.
