Sarah and her teammates from the small town of Khalifi in Kenya are preparing to travel to Johannesburg for the Football for Hope tournament, which runs alongside the World Cup. This event gathers football projects worldwide to support disadvantaged youth. Sarah is excited as it will be her first time flying out of Kenya. The organization Moving the Goalposts (MTG) was established to empower young girls and women in the region through football, encouraging them to stay in school. MTG works with over 3000 girls, organizing training sessions and tournaments. The selection process for the team traveling to South Africa was rigorous, involving interviews and football skills assessments, as the girls aim to bring success to Africa.
