Auroras are natural light displays created when charged particles from solar flares and CMEs interact with Earth's magnetic field. These phenomena are most visible near the poles, where the magnetic field is strongest. In the northern hemisphere, they are known as aurora borealis or northern lights, while in the southern hemisphere, they are called aurora australis or southern lights. Auroras can display a variety of colors, including green, red, yellow, blue, and purple.
