Planet Venus

Venus, once thought to be Earth's twin, is a hostile planet with a thick atmosphere of carbon dioxide and corrosive acids. Its atmospheric pressure is 90 times that of Earth, and while the cloud tops are cold, the surface is extremely hot due to trapped solar heat. The harsh conditions make it unlikely for life to exist or have existed on Venus.
